Are you bitter?

I'm tired of hearing how insulting Sen Obama's comments were. Enough already! Truth of the matter is, I think he's right about lots of people being "bitter". Perhaps he didn't say it as well as he should have, but I'm not sure he's so wrong.

What do you say? Are you bitter? I am - there hasn't been anyone in the White House for us middle class schlumps in 20 years. We pay more more and more just to feed our kids and keep the modest roof over our heads, not to mention GAS to get to work, while the rich get obscenely richer.

We are bitter, and rightfull so. Obama was dead-on with those comments he made (in private). Why does this messed-up American society still base it's election on stupid personal arguments when we should be focusing on the real issues like War, Economy, Abortion, etc. Peace.

I'm bitter about having to put $55 dollars worth of gas in my tank every week instead of in my pockets.

I'm bitter because what was once "fun" money is now going to pay for the higher cost of food.

I'm also bitter because 4000 of our brave men were lost in a war we never should have fought.

The Iraq war is sucking up many American lives and all our money.

You obviously have never been outside this country. In the late 80's , when I was in Europe, gas was $4.50 a liter....That is around $10.00 a gallon....We have been very lucky as a country so far....I'm not saying that I like to pay $3 or $4 a gallon, but we still live in the best country in the world...We need a president to unite us and a congress to back him with good laws, not more welfare or social programs....We need to stop sending aid to other countries and help our needy families here at home...Until we come together as a whole, we will never be better off than we are now...

Who cares what he said. I don't like Obama, however lets be serious. I am from a midwest American town. I'm not bitter, even if I was, so what. I don't worry too much about what any politician says or thinks. Most of us don't the only ones who really "care" about this comment are the ones hell bent on driving him out of the election. If somebody is going to be president, then I want it to be because they deserved it, not because they can hound about a non issue longer than the other.

It's not the "bitter" that offends people. It's Obama's

claim that small town America "CLINGS TO GUNS AND RELIGION, ETC" because of economic insecurity bitterness.

Obama doesn't know squat about rural/small town American

values. Just blatant stereotypes, thats all. Believe what you

want, but I've heard enough from this conman.

I am not bitter about my job, but I would be if my job was outsourced to India and I know people who are none to happy about that. I am bitter about gas prices and food prices though.

Basically Obama doesn't spend all day stroking our egos and he gives some REAL straight talk...and people don't like the truth.

Yup, I'm definitely bitter about all the issues you just mentioned, as well as the fact that we are still involved in such a terrible war and we're all going to be paying for it personally.
