Languages- Career advice?
I'm thinking about going to college to get a degree in either Spanish or Japanese. I've always been really interested in languages, and I would like to have a career involving one, but not necessarily teaching or translating. Are there any other careers that would need someone who is bilingual?

SURE! - A TRANSCRIPTIONIST (in many businesses) is needed, or a SECRETARIAL position requires an adept knowledge in either language.

I searched online for Bilingual jobs and there were some good links. I'm sure there will be many opportunities. You can always contact the colleges you are interested in and ask for information on what kind of jobs their graduates are getting. Once you are at school, I'm sure professors and others can help you. Just in everyday life, keep observing and I'm sure you'll find opportunities. There are court translation jobs for defendants who do not speak English, the UN needs translators (I've heard they require 3 languages). Business is global now and additional languages gives you an edge.

It depends of where you live. Over here, you can't go very far either english or french in any employment.
