Do good looking people have it easier when looking for jobs?

Yes. All qualifications being equal, the more attractive person is more likely to get hired. More attractive people are also more likely to get raises, be promoted, receive lenient sentences for crimes, get favorable attention from parents and teachers, be perceived as more intelligent/competent and have the advantage in pretty much any social situation where people can see each other.

At first I was going to answer hell yeah- they do, but when you think about it depends really on the job. Of course on your interview it's quite an advantage to be more presentable and at your best. However when you wanna work at a renowned clothe store or something that uses your face as part of the promotion then yes I guess it is easier for good looking people to get into jobs.

*i reckon an employer should look more at the qualities rather than the physicality's, but I guess that's easier said than done- after all good looking people are very easy on the eyes ^_^ Lol

Well that is of course. With an appearance easy to the eye. That is basically the way the society works most of the time. But then it's not always the case. Any how, appearance plays a significant role and it is obvious is it? Models get paid because they are pretty, it's that kind of concept.

and say if a situation came down to 2 candidates who were pretty much equal in every way...but 1 was more attractiv than the other? sumfin tells me that the attractiv person would get the job

and its not all that bad a decision, i no ppl who go in2 stores because they just want 2 perve on the hot guy/gal thats wrking there

they do well in marketting jobs .. but they need to have skills..

but for those who aren,t good looking well any guy who isn,t dirty and wears nice clothes can look decent.. skills r more important..

for some stupid jobs like air hostess,receptionalist or sales person good looks is an advantage..

but for software proffessional or other skillfull job skills count..

yeah they do, people do not want to talk with people who do not have good looks, even if they are intelligent,it is just the way it is, guys as a most part do not want to talk to unattractive women, at least unattractive women who are unattractive to them, and probably visversa . so yeah, good looking people get the worms, huh??? didi say that???

It does give them an advantage. However, being well groomed and well dressed can give anyone a better chance.
