can I get a hardship drivers license?
In 2005 I got a fourth DUI in Florida. That was three years ago and I have been sober ever since. The problem is that it resulted in a lifetime license suspension. In Florida after the fourth DUI you can't even get a go-to-work-only license. I have called different state DMV's and they say they can't issue a hardship license until florida clears the suspension(which they wont).
Is there a state I can move to and be able to get to work? Or am I sentenced to a lifetime of poverty? I am a plumber. I cannot work without driving.

honestly dude - if you got 4 DUI's you really don't need to be on the road- period. You seem to have made some really bad life decisions that brought you to this point And if you haven't hurt yourself or someone else, your just very lucky. Congrats on being sober for that long tho bro... that's huge...
Best you can try is get a license in Canada and/or Mexico- maybe move to a city that has a good mass transportation ( NYC, Philly, Boston ) and cabs so that you don't have to drive - cause your not going to get a license in the states with 4 dui's bro...
Still, I think every man should have the right and chance to work. May I suggest maybe taking on an apprentice or a partner who can drive for you ? good luck

Wow. That'll teach ya. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SOBRIETY!!!!! One day at a time. Have you consulted with an atty? Seems like there should be a workaround. You're going to say you can't afford one, but seek some free legal advice. Of all the trades. A plumber? Bummer. Its a plumber bummer. You are certainly not sentenced to a lifetime of poverty. Did you know that there are gazillions of people who drive without licenses??? Not that I would ever recommend that. If there is no work around, move to within walking distance of a Home Depot. They will really value your plumbing experience and if you play the game you should be able to move up the ladder. Sorry for your troubles.

Man, you are so f*cked, but you already know that. Sort of a poster child for why not to drive.
All you can do is try to find out if other states define 'lifetime' with a number. H*ll, even convicted murderers serving lifetime sentences are eligible for parole in 20 years or so.
Worst case, you can always change your name, move to another state, and hope that the change does not catch up to you... and, of course, stay sober (good work!).

You will have to change your profession and become something that doesn't require you drive, because you have no chance of getting a license.
You knew that after the third DUI and went ahead and got the 4th anyway, and the consequence of that is a permanent ban on driving.

you would be able to desire to coach which you incredibly want it for artwork as a manner to assist your self and there is not any different ability of transportation. the properly suited standards variety by state. California, to illustrate, says which you would be able to basically get a project license if there are not the different approved drivers on your loved ones.
