When several cars are speeding on the interstate, how does the police know which car he checked by radar?

I often see state troopers on the entrance ramps on the interstate. When they do a radar or laser check, how do they know which car they checked if several were speeding and the interstate has numerous cars on it?

if it's some rich gringo in a lexus heading to his next board meeting, the cops let 'em pass; if it's a suburan soccer mom racing in a minivan juiced up with antidepressants with screaming little brats, the cops give 'em a pass; if it's a dark-skinned "brotha" in a pimped-out ride or a truckful of mexicans heading to the next construction site, rest assured, the piggies are gonna pull 'em over! ¡orale!

To rely on radar without visual confirmation is a big mistake. The officer needs to visually observe one vehicle traveling faster than the rest. That is how they know which vehicle is speeding. The radar simply shows the speed of one of the vehicles, it does not say which vehicle. If the radar displays 80 mph and the truck is traveling at 80 mph but the sports car next to it is traveling faster, then the sports car is stopped for traveling at least 80 mph.

convinced. have you ever considered those radar guns that the police officials in simple terms park and go away, and they show the speed? those are a similar difficulty...dealing with site visitors. also, i changed into pulled over by utilizing a cop dealing with me. enable off with a caution. i imagine there is an adjustment this is determined for which route the officer is dealing with for the radar gun, because it type of feels they could face both route. it truly is my wager. The gun ought to ought to make amends for route of shuttle obviously.

The newest radar guns will be able to pick out the fastest car and then the cop uses his trained eyes to visually pick out the fast moving car

Most state police use laser. With laser it has a scope which is targeted to the front of the vehicle. It will only give the vehicle he/she is looking at through the unit.

its a guessing game, they don't care if they got the correct person or not. One cop gave me a ticket by looking at me, didn't have me on radar or laser, pulled a number out of his @$$ and cost me a few hundred to fight it. Pricks.

Cops don't care. They'll just pull over the guy driving the Jag, or BMW or Vette. They're too scared to pull over the gangbangers in the late model Chevy Impala.

Just a guess... But I think the detecter has a site on it.. So they can pinpoint whichever car they want to...

I've always followed the speeder.. Surely, they'd get that person first.. lol..

They usually ticket the last one.

One neat thing about driving the speed limit - you don't have to worry about it.
