Do guys look at girls bodies different then girls look at themselves?

The thing is, most girls don't give themselves enough credit, and think the worst of themselves. Most of the girls I know have horrible self esteem.

Guys aren't usually as critically (well, maybe the jerks, but not most of them) and we usually see how you actually look.

My best friend thinks she is the ugliest fattest disgusting monster in the world. I think the is the most beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes on, sometimes I just stare at her face and lose myself. Every time she gets down on herself it just kills me inside, because she doesn't see who she truly is.

My advice, every morning, look in the mirror, point at yourself and say "Damn I'm sexy!". It'll boost your self confidence, and make you much happier with yourself. Walk proud, with your head held up high.

Sadly high school is just a bunch of superficial kids. I say work on making yourself happy and when you get to college there will be lot's of good guys coming after you. I have always liked girls that are different. I could never stand preppy trendy cheer leaders, or popular girls. I had a very hard time in high school because people thought I was a nerd. But after, I got so much attention I didn't know what happened. So don't rush things and don't give up. People that act popular will never care about you. Don't give in to scummy guys, but look more toward the cute somewhat nerdy guys that smile at you but are too shy to talk to you. They will work harder to make you happy.

i think us guys are definately less critical than you gals are on yourself.

i don't know if i go so far as to blame society like everyone says, but girls seem to definately have self esteem issues sometimes and most time it's for no reason (from a guys perspective)

you should be pleased that your ex looked at you in a positive way. Some guys are pigs!!! Only mature guys will concentrate on you other than your body.

it's not just girls. it's a natural thing. just love yourself. and guys are cocky and pervy, take it from me. some people don't ever like the way they look (models). try to look at yourself in a positive way!! your ex does...

98% of the time girls are hotter then they think they are... the other 2% are extremely vain, and they think they're hot stuff

your boyfriends probably just saying those things to make you feel better cause he knows you have low self esteem. your lucky to have a really nice boyfriend some guys are bad and can go out with the most perfect girl and still put her down cause their bad.
