What happens to fans that get ejected from games?

I was watching a baseball game today when a fan thought the ball was foul and picked up the ball, he gave the ball back without a problem and said he was sorry and everything. The guard on the field let him go then before we knew it more guards were coming down to him and taking him away. I was just wndering what happens to the guys that do this?

For one if its an accident then why make it a big deal? You already have the announcers calling him a looser on tv with a big close up on his face and the crod booing his big close p in the stadium. He already feels bad and now your going to make his 200 dollar tickets go to waste and ban the people that make your overpaid players come to work everyday? I would just think accidental fans would have some respect right? maybe "hey dont do it again, go sit somewhere else now" kinda thing?

Along with that, you can be ejected for throwing a home run ball back into the park? its tradition and everyone wants you to do it....

Update:

No it wasnt me that got ejected lol, i was watching the guy along the foul line his face was all red and you can tell he was emberassed.

    Exactly what you have stated is what happens. They have a zero tolerance with that. They dont want it happening so they will show you the gate and you cannot come back in. Accident or not. I agree with you. You amost sound like it happened to you.

    They get taken away into a dark alley where the are forced to become part of a polka band for a period of at least two months

    After that they are assigned pet sea turtles which they must race with daily and always let the turtle win! After 6 months of losing to a turtle they are beaten with leather cell phone cases and placed in a bird feeder where the spend the rest of their days singing "The Final Countdown" in Latin.

    You get escorted to the parking lot.-if you want to stay then never throw anything onto the field

    The security escorts the person to the nearest gate and they can't come back in.
