The Axis was defeated in N. Africa, in the USSR, in France, and finally in Germany. Personally, Hitler was in his bunker when the Soviets marched into Berlin - he committed suicide on April 30, 1945.

Well. Hitler was found "dead" with his woman Eva B. at the end of April as the Russians were storming Berlin. But the war and resistance continued all over Europe for like another two weeks. But Berlin was considered the Last battle if you will.

All over in WWII
He defeated himself in the end with a two front war. Major losses in Stalingrad and Leningrad, failed sieges.
