Will Danica Patrick make the move to NASCAR soon?

It would not surprise me if she makes an attempt.

She is a mediocre open-wheel racer, given the superior equipment she has had and the dearth of wins. If superior drivers like Franchitti, Carpentier and Hornish, Jr., are struggling, and Tracy washed out due to lack of sponsorship - and results in what was essentially a try-out - it would be a disaster waiting to happen. She would have sponsorship dollars to buy a seat, but money alone does not guarantee a spot on the starting grid, like what happens in the IRL.

Danica's #1 goal is Indy. If she was to win an Indy 500 then maybe she would consider NASCAR. For right now Danica is going nowhere.

I would like to see her do a Nationwide series race just to see where she stacks up and how she handles the bigger, heavy stock cars.

I don't think she'll be in Cup for quite some time. All the open wheel jumpers of this year arent performing all that great, and I believe the car owners are going to take notice of that fact. They'll be a little more careful as to plopping them (open wheelers) into a ride, without getting any lower series experience first.

With that said though, I would welcome her into the Cup series...WHEN she's proven that she can handle the car and be competitive.

I'm sure you're aware that she's already had that conversation and basically said it's a possibility in the future.(paraphrased) While I am truly glad that she won today I must be honest. I've watched many in-car camera shots and don't believe that she's comfortable in the car. Even at Indy, where most drivers run flat out, she seems "twitchy" in the corners and even more so when side by side with another car. She always downshifts in the corners even when she's happy with the car. I believe, regretably, that the only time she will win is under circumstances like today's. I think, if I'm right, that she needs to stay where she is until she gets over her nerves. Running door to door at 190mph could be a lot scarrier for her. I hope she makes me eat my words and if she does feel free to say "Nah Nah Nah Nah. Told you so."

not any time quickly in any respect. She would choose to initiate doing a splash ARCA races, progressively circulate into the automobiles, and then artwork her way as much as a national automobile till now ever giving Cup a attempt. while she starts off doing a splash ARCA activities, then i will comprehend the place she's headed. i've got faith Ganassi will %. her up and function her racing the two IRL and inventory vehicles in 2010, yet we are going to must wait and notice if it happens.

I know this question was going to come up. I sincerely hope not.

Danica's previous flirtation with NASCAR was designed to get a better deal from an IRL team-she did, with Andretti/Green Racing. After this weekend, you can bet that Tony George will do whatever it takes to keep Danica in the IRL.

Don't look for her to make the jump. Her "success" in Indy cars has taken 50 races and over that time she has had moments of glory and has also been at the bottom.

So will she I don't think so.

I dont think so, she seems pretty content in the IRL and since the IRL and Champ car have merged Im sure they will do everything in their power to keep Danica.

She'll be there, but won't be deserving of it. Top motor sport in country, pretty face, she knows the type of money she will be able to get.

She can't hang with the schedule.

Thanks for the thumbs down, but she said herself in an interview that the issue that would most deter her from running in cup was the 36 race schedule.

    Thanks again though.
