as an avalanche fan who would you rather see us play?

I am a Wings fan, and It is a very tough decision of who I want to play next round. I would rather play Avalanche, but at the same time, I would love Calgary to knock San Jose out so we don't have to play them later.

I think Calgary would be the easier opponent, but Colorado would be a much better series.

From an Avalanche perspective, I think you guys would have a better chance against Dallas. You did better against them during regular season that you did against the Wings. Dallas is also a team that can be inconsistent at times. Again though, Dallas would be easier, but the Wings would be a better series.

Here's the question: Do you want to play the Wings now or later? If Calgary upsets San Jose, there's no guarantee the Flames will beat the Wings. So it's very possible that your question will eventually be moot -- the Avs may end up playing Dallas in the next round only to face the Wings in the Final Four (assuming the Avs can get by Dallas -- they're on a tear right now after plucking the Ducks).

I'm betting San Jose will sneak past Calgary tomorrow, so the Avs had better get ready for the big red machine...it'll be interesting, to say the least.

Detroit

As a Wings fan, I'd like to see the Avs play Detroit.

As a Detroit fan I salivate over potentially playing the Avs. Best rivalry in the Western conference is only going to be better this year with the readdition of Forsberg.

Being a huge Avalanche fan, I would rather see them play Detroit. It would be a very even series that could go eitherway. I would not give anyteam the advantage if this matchup were to happen. Colorado is the lower seed, but they were injured most of the year, and I think both teams are pretty even.

I would rather see us play Dallas. Detroit is too good of a team for me to feel comfortable playing them.

Although I would like to see Detroit vs. Colorado it just won't be the same as when it was back in the day.

dallas first, detroit later. i'd rather the two teams i like more don't face each other in the 2nd round.
