I read that you need to eat these five foods everyday. Grains, nuts or seeds, veggies/fruits, dairy, and green teas. Best thing to do is wait to eat after you work out because that is when your metabolism will be at its highest. And I think you can eat as soon as you are done. Try eating lots of veggies with maybe a small portion of baked chicken or fish or lean red meat. The veggies need to cover 3/4 of your plate and the meat needs to be no bigger than the palm of your hand. And carbs are good at replacing energy so you might have a small bowl of pasta or a baked potato as well.

the best before work out is a little amount of carbs enough to give you energy for the workout session. you can eat protein too along with the carbs. afterwards, you can eat salty foods so that your muscles will firm out better.

The day before you want carbohydrates like pasta. Right before you could eat an energy bar or something. Afterwards you want protein. Any healthy meat like chicken or tuna is great.

1 hour before drink about 2 cups of water and have some carbs and protein (apple and natural peanut butter ex) and after has some protein

Protien. Lean Meats, Chicken. Grilled or Boiled. not deep fried. You can also eat a lot of fruit or veggies or even have a protien shake.
