Should I start my son on digestive enzymes and just restart the foods?
Long story short.
My son is 2 1/2. He has been off of dairy completely almost his whole life. He had mucousy stools, very very very very gassy, and extremely colicky. Symptoms improved when I (nursing) stopped dairy. Trialed dairy a couple times and symptoms came back. 4 months ago we had VEGA testing done at the naturopath and it came back as intollerant to dairy, wheat and eggs. We stopped all of those foods and have been strict for 4 months. Symptoms improved a LOT at first, but now we are back to the same thing going on.
I am frustrated, my son is frustrated and it's hard. We are getting nowhere except losing money because the food is so expensive and my son is having the same symptoms.
The doctor is no help so I don't know what to do. I've done some reading on digestive enzymes and I'm wondering if I should do that. Should I reintroduce dairy, wheat and eggs, and start the digestive enzymes?

I have a lot of personal experience with food allergies and intolerances. So, I can tell you how I would approach this.
First off, VEGA testing is not scientific, and not well respected in the medical fields. That's not to say it is worthless, but I would be suspect of any results. So, ignore those for now.
Milk is extremely difficult to avoid. I have issues with milk, and milk is in everthing. Wheat is another one that is in everything. Eggs aren't as bad as the other two. So, here is what I would do:
Milk is the most likely culprit, and the hardest to avoid. So, only eliminate milk, but make 100% sure it is eliminated. Do not use any pre-fab foods, try to cook everything from scratch. I would pick simple foods like hambuger, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, etc. You know there was no chance of milk getting in or touching these. Try to avoid vitamins, and other pills since some milk components are used as filler in pills. Avoid all breads, most commercial bread has milk in it.
Give it 2 weeks. If you are still having problems eliminate wheat. It's really unlikely it is eggs. But after two more weeks eliminate them if no results.
If he still has no relief, I would look at something other than a food allergy as the cause.
