Cooker problems?

Hi all

I have an in built cooker andrevently the grill element broke so I replaced it (HA-Handy me, I thought ;)). Now the grill works but the oven doesn't heat up. I'm trying to work out if the element I replaced is responsible for heating up the oven or if it something else and just coincidental that the oven is now bust.

Advice would be great!

Remove the grill element and check if the oven works then. If it does then you have a fault in the wiring. If the oven doesn't work with the grill removed, then the oven is bust.
