Ares vs Thor?

Even though I am a die-hard Hellenic Polytheist, I would have to go with Thor on this one UNLESS Ares did not run from the battle the way the did at Troy when he was wounded....

Now, if the battle was between Athena and Thor, I would go with her as she would be the superior strategist -- I realize that most people do not know that Athena is also a Goddess of War along with Wisdom, but there you have it

Gotta go with Thor on this one. There are just too many stories about Ares running away from a fight ar getting whupped by mortals. Thor might not be the brightest tool in the shed, but he's always spoiling for a fight.

Tough call. Ares has the whole war god thing, but Thor has strength and they BOTH ahd lost of battle experience...I would have to, say most likely Thor as he not only has the edge in strength and power, he knows how to use them well.

Thor, duh.

Although Ares might be a god of war, Thor's nothing but muscle and he carries a hammer that's useful for smiting Jotuns.

One-on-one - Thor even though he's not a war deity. He does carry a huge hammer and loves to fight.

Ares does have a sword and loves to fight and is dedicated to war.

I'd say Thor but it would be a hard fought battle.
