Is the bible open for interpretaion?

I've heard alot of people say that it isn't, but I always wondered that if the bible wasn't open for interpretation, then why are there so many Christian denominations and congregations while Muslims and Jews only have a few? Which one is right? I bet it must be the one that you attend.

Whether it is the Bible or the Koran, there are two groups involved. They are basically called 'literal' or 'pneumatic'. Literal Christians and Literal Muslims generally do not interpret (or only official interpretations). They are conservative, or even fundamentalist, Christians and Muslims. They believe, therefore, in the literal word as it is written. The others are interpreters. There are official interpretations which are generally accepted, and there can be private interpretations, these are known as liberal Christians or liberal Muslims. Interpretations can vary a lot, and at the far end of the spectrum, these people are called first pneumatics (Spiritual) or Mystical and finally gnostic. The literal church does not condone any of them, and during the Dark Ages condemned them all as heretics of the Christian Church. The Muslims have always had mystical interpretation, but this is confined to the Sufi branch of Islam. The Shia and the Sunni generally do not interpret.

when you're an atheist replace God to sturdy. Jesus to Counselor or handbook and also you've a effective handbook for atheists! you in ordinary words go with to understand the bible difficulty through difficulty. keep in recommendations also each and each author has diverse viewpoints and that ought to appear like there are contradictions interior the bible. each and each e book of the bible is titled through a author except for Genesis and Revelation those 2 words propose the Begining and the suitable with relevance! in case you're taking the completed bible actually there's no interpretation it says what it says continuously evaluate the issue remember at the same time as examining the bible financial disaster through financial disaster. a real Christian takes the completed bible actually. Christians are not dumb they could observe translation blunders. Brenda and that i compared 2 bibles that were think to be the exact same yet wasn't one had some "is" at the same time as the different had some with "are" in some places that distinction did not replace a difficulty in propose yet in some spots it did bring about confusion! Confusion is what the devil or negativity entity (badluck) needs for us. The bible is a robust e book even if you're a Christian or an atheist. Atheists can purely ignore with reference to the aspects the position it talks about Christians doing issues!

No, it is not. Many RELIGIONS (denominations) put their own rules and regulations into it which is against the Lord. In Revelation, there are 7 letters to 7 churches, and in those letters God points out what is wrong.

The Bible is open in many areas, but you need to be listening to what its saying, not looking for what you want to hear.

Take everything in context, don't go by small pasages without reading the full situation.

The Bible has an author, Jehovah. It is HIS interpretation we should seek, not an imperfect man twisting things for personal convenience.

When someone shows me a coin, I can clearly see one side and swear by it. The other side is clearly seen by the person showing me and he will swear by it. We both agree, it's the same coin. This is interpretation, in brief.

Christians in general, are not afraid to speak up. This is what Jesus did.

Jews are few, hence it is wise for them, not to spit up into many denominations.

    Outspoken Muslims are few.

Interpretation of each others coins can be confusing. They are coins though and valuable.

IT has to be. It's pre-scientific, and it's not a handbook. It's just not written that way, it's full of Parables, and Allegories and Metaphors, mixed in with actual lineages and histories, much like was the writing style of the ancients.

I know one thing is true as I've matured in my faith over the past ten years - I can read the exact same scripture at two different times in my life, in two completely different set of circumstances or situations - and that exact same scripture can mean two entirely different things on my heart.

That's the power - and the great mystery - of God's word!!

Yes. It is open to people who can read and write and could understand language in the bible and if you could not understand it, somebody will interpret the words for you to be enlightened. That is why I am here to enlighten you of your doubts.

Chrstians interpret it all the time. They're always saying that this or that verse is not meant to be taken literally, but this other verse is, and other brands of christianity have a different view of the same verses.
