I AM... in need of help?

Okay, I know that "I AM" is a name of God -- God told Moses that was His name, and Jesus said that He was "I AM." I need help: what do you call the name "I AM"? What is it? I know it means that God never changes and that He will always be... but what is it? YHWH is the personal name of God... soooo... any help?

The God and Jesus thing are two different things. God was using "I AM" in a very personal sense at that point. Jesus was saying "I AM" THE LIGHT;WAY;TRUTH; well you get it. He was setting the tone for the picture he was drawing with His words. God was saying there were no words except "I AM". But remember Jesus was with God when God spoke to Moses. :In the beginning was the Word (who is Jesus) and the Word was God...John1:1

God told Moses to tell the Israelites that he had been told by God that God said"I am that I AM"... mankind has distorted that into a "name" that was not what God had intended... that(I AM as a name) is part of man's invented"religion"... God was saying that he had no name in any mortal tongue... stating, in that way, that we are not to know His Name... at least for the time being...

    1. First let’s look at the example of Moses when Moses asked to see God face to face. In Exodus 34:13 Moses asked “Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee

    2. In Answer to Moses Request In Exodus 35: 6 The Lord responds by passing “before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

    3. God’s names are only to highlight God’s attributes. God is too diverse. Any religion that thinks they can pin God down to one attribute limits their understanding of God. God’s capacity, vastness, unlimited attributes and ability will always reach beyond human comprehension. That is why He is God all by himself. So God helps us to know Him by describing his attributed though his names.

    4. God wants us to know his character (personality, attributes), who is He so that we can allow Christ to transform us into his image. Don’t get caught up in the name, understand what characteristic God is seeking to teach us.

"I am" means that time/space does not apply to God, so I was, i were, & i will be, would be incorrect in terms of describing himself truthfully. it is hard for us to see infinity, it is something no one will comprehend truely in their life.
