PLEASE HELP! thermostat not working right! burning up!?
i have a honeywell thermostat. we hooked it up about the middle of feburary, it worked fine for our heat, but now it isn't working on central air! so we're burning up in here. i have been searching the net, and cant find any where on how to fix it! anyone have any tips? or know how to hook it up right?

If you have the wiring diagram or schematic that came with the unit, pull the cover off and re=check the wires, they are color coded, then check the wiring at the furnace or air handler.
These units are not that hard to install. Make sure the fuses or breaker is ok on the a/c unit.
If everything is ok inside, and the relay is ok, passing current, then there's a good possibility the unit is low on freon and will not start. Time for a serviceman.

first i would check the jump per from RH to RC on the t stat wire terminals .dig t stats have 2 R terminals one for heat one for cool start with that .if that's good then you have to trace wires from furnace to t stat make sure they match up .
if threes power to system and R terminal is jumped out and wires are good and still wont work call a tech to check out for you .if you poke around to much you might make it worse
