What do you do to make yourself feel better when you get your feelings hurt?

    You can only think one thing at a time— so distract yourself and think something else!!

    Clean something. Cook up some comfort food for you and a friend. Write a nasty note to the person who hurt your feelings (but never send it). Read a really, really good or funny book. Volunteer to help out at a charity. See if you can do 20 push-ups. Shop for and send a greeting card to someone who needs one more than you do.

    And make up your own list of other things you can do to get your mind off the hurt feelings ...

    being a guy it is not a lot of things we do. but for girls only thing i could say to you is to keep your head up and think about the reason they were hurt, is it your fault, and is it that important to you that you wont get over it soon. maybe a nice cry in the shower by yourself and remember one thing it will happen again if you let it. hopefully it wont. don't eat candy and ice cream and all those things, because when you feel better your feelings will really hurt when you cant get into those tight fitting jeans, that lovely black dress or the gorgeous bikini. hope you feel better.

    The best thing is to laugh. Laughing releases a chemical that will make you feel good inside RIGHT AWAY. I suggest going on YouTube online and watching George Lopez's Stand up comedy acts. YOu will pee in your pants!! Also, whoever hurt your feelings, forgive them, 'cause you'll feel better inside. And life is too short to allow others to make you feel bad. Love ya!

    work out at the gym! It sounds dumb but I just feel better about myself. It gets your endorphins pumping so you feel better. If you don't go to the gym, I also like sweets. Ice cream fixes everything. Just go do something fun! I found out that a friend was talking bad about me recently and some of my friends took me out so I would forget about it. We had fun and I did forget about it. Music helps too. Go out with your friends, listening to music, eating ice cream and exercising and you will be happy! =)

    This isn't the best thing to do, but generally eat chips...

    However if I'm somewhere where it's possible to work out, going jogging or lifting weights can relieve stress and it generally makes me feel better...

    My immediate reaction when I get my feelings hurt is getting mad. Since I usually do get over it, maybe getting mad about it helps me to get over it. Talk with someone about it, it always helps to have your feelings understood by someone else and it justifies your hurt. I hate to have my feelings hurt, I once saw a bumper sticker that said "Mean people suck" and I sometimes want to stick one on my car!!!

    Find a friend that makes you laugh and that good one that always say they are going to punch their face in (but never really will). Makes me feel great.

    I listened to Josh Groban's music and stay in the car where there's peace and quiet so I can think better..

    Ice cream always does the trick for me.

    I talk to my mom about my problems.

    She helps me a lot with everything.

    Talk to God, resuming all the great things he gave me, and in that moment I understand that I have no gratitude for him if I'm down for just one thing that happened to me. And start thinking in something else or doing something else, yes or yes.
