Lost - "The Shape of Things to Come"?

Ok, haven't really scoured the internet for extras on last night's episode, but what did all you Losties think?

I thought Drew Goddard wrote a more exceptional episode this time in comparison to his previous writings this season.

To me, it felt like an episode of Sopranos, a good one, and I was a Sopranos super fanatic.

The plot thickens. Widmore wants the island. It was once his, and Ben now has control over it. Widmore's people killed Alex, super shocking. Ben's revenge on Widmore, to kill Penny. Uh-oh. Ben and Dezzie are about to lock up. (Mr. Fleur, I know you have some comments on that one.) Ben is building an army, and Sayid is the number one recruit.

Ben is lying about how he got off the island. You could also tell by his expressions during the episode and in previous episodes that he knows how to get back on. Widmore never knew how to get back on this island, he is only power hungry. The island is like a holy grail to Widmore and that's all.

Update:

Bottom line: Don't mess with Ben. You break the rules of engagement and you will pay the consequences.

I am now back from the abyss after taking 6 weeks away from the Y/A while Lost was off-air.

The tale of the Archetype hero against the Iago of extremes.

Will that be a title to echo in the future, when Desmond will no doubt now be fused into a game with a vengeance (or just amazingly crazy) stricken Ben. Even though i would hate that as they are my favourite two people on the show.

Has Desmond been thrown into a battle without even knowing about it, as let's face it he would give his life for Penny in the blink of an eye. A pawn for Widmore to protect his Penny, and an obstacle to a Ben when he comes a knocking !

It's 100% something to keep an eye for the future.

I like the way you thought ahead with that Scott as it was the first thing i thought of as they spoke in the bedroom about penny.

    On to last nights episode......

Absolutely fantastic. A real welcome back with a bang. Other than the Constant episode, the shape of things to come last night had so much information and of course action. Welcome back smokey you badáss mofo.

I was going to come back and write more but i do not have a lot to say, and i mean that in a good way.

There were no surprises for me but there was a brilliant written script, great acting and a clinging to the screen for the 42 minutes ( i love having no adverts) while it was on. The show is definitely producing the goods, answering questions, and throwing drama our way.

Again, all i can say is that it was a super comeback for the Losties & co and i look forward to seeing another 5 episodes

    before the summer break.

Ben is a stealing the show every week since he was first cast, props to Michael Emerson for being an outstanding actor

Ben has obviously found the "wormhole" that allows you to transport back and forth from the Island, but apparently there's a problem in the time placement differential. I believe that Widmore may have been the original sponsor of the Dharma Group. And the last question I asked was about Hurley's connection to Jacob, but I think it may have to do with the numbers on the hatch - still have to give that some more thought. The fact is, a lot of the people who survived that plane crash seem to have connections to each other - Sawyer meets Jacks' father, Jack's father is also Claire's father, Hurley gets the #'s from another guy in the nuthouse, Shannon tried to set Sayid up at the airport, yada yada yada. Whenever they end this show, I'm not sure we'll still have the answers. And BTW - does Ben control that stupid smoke monster or just know how to call it, and where did the stupid thing come from in the first place? Opinions please!!!

OHHHH!!! thats why widmore wanted the diary of the black rock!!! he wanted to see how it ended up on the island so that he can retrace its steps and get there too. the diary would contain information about how the boat crashed landed on that island. remember widmore won the diary of the black rock at an auction. thats why he wanted it. well yeah its a holy grail it can heal the sick and prevent death from occuring. jacob is the spirit of the island. when jacob asked locke for help he meant the war that was comming don't you think? what is the connection to ben and charles it's not just the island ....I get the feeling there is something else that connects the two of them.
