Leave the Salmon to the Sea Lions and Native Americans. They were both here first.

Both--trap and release sea lions elsewhere, captive breed salmon and release extra stock in the meantime. I have to wonder if the factoid that sea lions kill 4% of the salmon population is really that big a deal. If it was 20% , I'd say sure, there's a sea lion problem, but 4% is nothing.
I think killing the sea lions will solve nothing. If the salmon are that susceptible to sea lion predation, the problems lies with the salmon population and its response to predators.

I think they are both interesting. I love salmon because they are able to swim up stream .. and spawn.. But the sea lions are adorable and dont hurt a thing... Yes the sea lion for me.
