AVG 8.0 Free Installation Problems?

I recently downloaded their new release of AVG 8.0 free and tried to install it. However, when it was in the installing phase, an error occured and a list of registries is the problem, can someone please shed light on this?

    I just finished downloading 8.0 after I read your question. I then came back to find your question.

    You have to completely uninstall all anti-virus applications including the old 7.5. I did that after I was prompted to do so, and went back to the same place and re-downloaded it. This time it worked well and I now have 8.0.

    I Googled it, and chose the one closest to the top of the page that had grisoft in the description. I had to go through a few hoops to get to the end, but I made it.

    Have you got any anti-spyware or possibly other anti-virus' running? They often get in the way of an installation and you never want to have two anti-virus' running. A good analogy is sometimes they'll fight over who gets to be in charge.

    I found lots of those errors with no fixes on google. Many of them were in torrent sites. Did you download this from AVG here:

    http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download

    Or from a torrent?

    As a general rule I don't trust anything from torrents unless it's a Linux Distro.
