waking up hard drive?

on my computer sometimes the slave harddrive will not show up in windows explorer. i need it because i installed some programs in it and i also have data i need to use. how can i get it to wake up?

    Sometimes a faulty PSU cannot provide enough power to the +5V channel, resulting in a non fully functioning Hard Disk.

    It's worth checking out your PSU on another machine.

    Press F5 (function key) to refresh (wake up) the slave hard drive in Windows Explorer.

    If all conections are right inside it can help you install new drivers for your drivers controlers and you find it in control panel,devicemanager there you will find't their brand can be intel,amd or somebody else then you can go to their site and download the drivers.

    well i would highly suggest getting EVERYTHING on that hard drive you'd care about losing backed up asap... but first when you but up you pc and go into the bios does the slave show up?
