1. Where can I read the manga online? I tried to look for it in the book stores but it was no use since the titles are different. I tried looking under Haruhi Suzumiya and that didn't work. 

I got curious about the manga after watching the anime and hope it answered a lot more that the anime didn't. It seemed like the main part of the 4 volumes was done it was more fillers. Which it was after the melancholy part series and I felt there was more questions left in the dark.

2, I heard there was going to be another series, it that true? Its more rumors then anything.

Like the person before me said the Haruhi anime was based on the light novels, not the anime.  There is a manga adaptation, since Haruhi is pretty popular after all.  I haven't read the light novels or manga, but I'm guessing that the light novels are better compared to the manga?

I remember reading that the Haruhi anime had no fillers. Wherever I saw it might be wrong though.

I think it's supposed to be The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, not "The Melancholy" anymore, as you can see in the ANN article (this one: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-12-17/new-haruhi-suzumiya-anime-series-details-revealed ). When Haruhi 2 starts is unknown though. My guess is that Clannad After Story comes before Haruhi (KyoAni [animation studio for Haruhi] seems to do only 1 anime at a time.  And Clannad ended not too long ago, and KyoAni's not doing anything this season.) Don't know how long Clannad AS will be, I'm guessing 12/13 or 23-26. And I'm guessing Haruhi 2 will start 2 seasons after Clannad AS ends.

I've been led to believe that the anime is based on a series
of novels, not manga.
The new anime series will be called "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya," and is also based on a later series of books.

Of course it does. If nobody knew who Haruhi Suzumiya was, then who would care if she disappeared? Nobody would go see the movie, since they don't care about this character they've never heard of before, and the movie would be a flop.
