How do you get rid of the top contributer thing under your name?

Stop answering on Psychology and it will go away as it takes a certain amount of answers in the same category to make you earn a badge. I had 4 vanish already.

You have no control over the receipt of a TC badge nor can you voluntarily give up the badge once you get it. The criteria adopted by YA (as given in the Help topics) are very vague. The only way I know for getting rid of a TC badge is to stop participation in the category in which you got the badge, for some time, and hope that the badge would go away!

I don't like the TC system. I hope they do give us a choice not to display the badge.

It's a weird question, to be honest with you; personally, I am proud of my Top Contributor badge and I hope I never lose it.

However, if you are sure you don't want it, don't answer any questions in the Psychology section for a while and you'll lose it in a few weeks.

It's a badge of honor. Accept the red ribbon. It's okay to show off a little!

You need to ask a lot of questions in yur category that will not get BAs. as you "water down" you potency, the badge will disappear
