Georges Laraque needs to punch Avery in his Pie trap!!!!
In "NO WAY" am I defending the Rangers, but Fluery is not
6-0 the Pens are, he has done the Job but the job the team left for him was a small one(and honestly he almost blew that)

That's called "screening". It's not always illegal.
Brendan Shanahan is indeed a good candidate. As long as he does it legally, he has a chance to score a goal. (NOTE: I wasn't referring to that whole hooplah about what Shanny did in Game 2. I'm just suspicious of the motives the person who asked this question had in asking this question, and stating that players like Shanny who crash the net can be an asset most of the time.)
On the opposite end, Ryan Malone is an excellent candidate for the Penguins. He's gotten some garbage goals there this season and garbage goals are common in the playoffs.

Well, if Pittsburgh's defensemen allow him to stand in front of the crease and wave his stick like New Jersey's d-men did, then Avery will. In reality, though, all of them should be. Create screens...that's a part of the game.
On a personal note: The Devils displayed the most pathetic defense I've ever seen. I know it was a two man advantage, but no one touched him?!?! Brodeur needed to be calling for help more instead of shoving his glove in Avery's face and one of his teammates needed to step up.
He may be an ******, but more power to him if he's doing something creative and legal to get the job done.

To the person that said Fleury is getting the yank tonight:
I really hope youre joking. If not, you know nothing about hockey. Fleury would have to be down 5-0 on goals that should have been easy saves for him to be taken out. He's 6-0 in the playoffs so far, and is outplaying any goaltender in the league. If you've watched the games, all the goals scored on him were dirty goals right in front of the net...pucks that trickle through or take a CRAZY bounce or deflection, or goals which were hit from a high stick (any blind idiot could have called that). He is THE BEST goalie in the NHL right now, and Therrien would NEVER take him out unless he was having the worst night of his career.

Pointless if they can't establish control in the offensive zone.
Block his view from what? The Pens rushing up the ice in the other direction?

Probably Sean Avery..the guy's everywere on the ice.. from starting fights to scoring goals...he`s a good intimidator..and he does his job trying to shield the goalies view.

They need to crash the net like they did against Jersey. Fleury does not play out of the crease like Brodeur so they need to get a little deeper on him. Shoot a lot and crash....repeat!!

shanny will probably try but i think avery should because when he is in front of the net people are gonnna be hitting him and he could draw some penalties. i think there should be more than one guy in front of the net and on the powerplay they def. need someone in front

Sean Avery will come back for more until he get's the media back on him.
