  • What coach would you want?

If your favorite college football team's coach left, what active college coach would you like to see replace him? Remember, ACTIVE coach...not retired.

  • No political party system...what are your thoughts?

If the United States was to do away with the political party system (Democrat, Republican, Green, etc...), do you feel that this would be a positive or a negative for the country? Would it stay the same? Would it force us to vote for the candidate rather than the party? Would it help unite those who are in opposing parties because they may realize that they have more views in common?

Please feel free to give any opinion you have, but I would appreciate it if we could stay away from party bashing as that is not the point of my question. Share your thoughts!

  • Oregon vs. Ohio State...if the roles were reversed?

If Jeremiah Masoli had the same stats as Terelle Pryor and vice versa, would ESPN and the rest of the sports media world be praising Masoli as a quarterback God? It seemed like they were ready to give Oregon the trophy before the game even started, but after Ohio State dominated the game, they didn't really talk about how bad Masoli looked. What's wrong ESPN...do you just hate being proven wrong?

  • How do I compensate for my lack of motivation at work?

My job is pretty important for my company, but lately it seems like I'm working in vain. We had our hours cut from 40 to 37 well over a year ago to save money, yet the company keeps making unnecessary purchases and there has been no mention of getting our hours back. I have a pretty big job without any help which means taking a day off because of illness or vacation is almost out of the question. I haven't had a raise in two years (neither has anyone else) while everyday expenses go up. All of this has accumulated into one self-revelation: I have lost the motivation to do my job. Finding another job is very difficult right now, as some of you may know, so that is not really the best option. The one good thing about my job is the security.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Is there any way of compensating for my lack of motivation or is there even a way to get that motivation back with the situation I'm in right now?

  • What is the code to unlock the new uniforms for NHL 2K8?

I cannot get on to the website that has the code because my company web filter prohibits it. I'm hoping that somebody out there knows the code to unlock the "new" jerseys. I have the Playstation 2 version, in case that makes a difference. Thank you!

  • Is quoting Bible verses a good rebuttal against a non-believer?

I see several answers in the form of Bible verses when someone asks a question about believing in God or Jesus. More often than not, the question is asked by a strong non-believer. When debating with an atheist, does a quote from the Bible really do any good? It seems to me that if you don't believe in God, then you won't believe in His word...thus rendering the rebuttal useless.

I'm not asking to debate the existence of God or Jesus. I just want to know why this defense is used so often when it can not logically work.

  • Who is on your "Mt. Rushmore" of Saturday Night Live?

Besides Lorne Michaels (because that's too easy) who would you place on the "Mt. Rushmore" of Saturday Night Live? In other words, who are the four cast members (past or present) that come to your mind when you think of SNL?

  • Civil War name badges help?

My grandfather gave me a very special gift for Christmas. He found a name badge that belonged to my great-great-great grandfather when he was in the 43rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. I have searched online to see how much it actually would be worth but have found nothing. I would never sell it because of it's sentimental value, but curiosity has me wondering just how much it would go for. Does anyone know a website where I can find this information?

  • Bengals or Browns...who should be worried?

After watching Cincinnati and Cleveland play the last few weeks and then watching yesterday's game against each other, who do you think should be more concerned about next season, the Bengals or the Browns?

  • What will the Bengals do in the NFL draft?

So it looks as though the Cincinnati Bengals will have a pretty high draft pick. They will more than likely be either number 2 or 3 in the order. But Mike Brown is obviously not suited to be the owner of a professional football franchise. His poor decision making rears it's ugly head almost every time he signs someone or makes a draft pick. What do you think he will do to waste Cincinnati's high pick in the next NFL Draft? Another high-profile running back that will either get injured or be a dud? Another troubled pseudo-talented linebacker, d-lineman, or d-back that will get arrested after one season? Or will Mike Brown have a new black mark on his resume as owner of one of the worst-run sports franchises in history?

  • Are we ready to accept the truth?

I am a HUGE Ohio State football fan, and I'll never stop being a fan, but I am ready to accept the fact the the Buckeyes cannot win a big game outside of the Big 10. After watching last night's "game," I realized that I was watching a team that chokes at the sight of a big team from another BCS conference. Our last big win against a big team outside of Michigan, Penn State, or Wisconsin, was Texas in '06...but they turned out to just be a good team and not a great team.

So I have learned to agree with the rest of the country...OSU is a good team, but they can't even make a good showing in the big games. It's time for all of us to admit it. Are there any other Buckeye fans with me on this?

  • Why is it Ohio State's fault?

Everyone is so upset that OSU is able to "back into the National Championship" if Missouri or West Virginia lose today. But why should you be upset at Ohio State? All they did was win their games (sans one). It was not their fault that the teams ahead of them lost. It was not their fault that the BCS computers have ranked them so high.

For the record, I am in favor of a playoff system. This BCS formula is a bunch of crap. My only complaint is that people are blaming OSU for this problem.

So explain to me...where is it Ohio State's fault that they may be able to play in the National Championship? Have you ever thought of blaming the other coaches and other conference commissioners that voted for the BCS system?

(I know some of you don't actually blame OSU, I want to hear the reasons from those who do.)

  • What is so bad about OSU's BCS record?

I constantly hear about how horrible Ohio State is in BCS games. They have been to five and they have only lost once. They have the same record as USC in BCS games...same number of Championships won, same caliber of teams beaten. (OSU has beaten FSU, Miami, Notre Dame, and Kansas State/USC has beaten Iowa, Michigan twice, and Oklahoma) And their only losses have been to excellent teams in the National Championship game. Yet for some reason, USC is hailed as one of the greatest college football programs while OSU is a joke and Jim Tressel is a cheater (which I still can't figure out). How does this happen? How can you dispute Ohio State's BCS record? Hell, we even won the game we played when we had John Cooper as head coach. I'm ready to hear from you SEC fans...7 Big 10 schools have played in 15 BCS games, 6 SEC schools have played in 13 games. Is it strictly hatred for OSU or is it hatred for the Big 10?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowl_Championship_Ser...
