Can anybody tell me a quick easy method of preparing a fresh salmon fillet ?
A friend gave me a huge salmon fillet and I love salmon, but have no idea how to prepare it. I got it yesterday and wanna have it for supper tonight so it don't go to waste. I'm a bachelor, so I normally "nuke" my supper. I need an answer quick, I'm getting hungry !

I buy my salmon from Costco (Kirkland brand frozen).
I just fry it in my cast-iron pan in Olive Oil (Kirkland brand) with some chopped garlic and chopped onion.
That's it.
I love how juicy the salmon gets.
It's great!
I always have steamed veggies along with the salmon.
Just delicious.
Enjoy my friend!

one is to pan fry it. . just season the salmon with salt ans pepper, add dried herbs or chopped fresh herbs if you have, just pan fry it in olive oil and butter. . .
another thing to do is marinate it with soya sauce and chili then pan fry it in oil. . . marinate it just for a while, like 2-4 min or smething. . .
if you want to preserve the fish, you could marinateor cure it in salt and sugar plus gin, orange and lemon juice. . .ratio would be 1 salt 1 sugar 1 cup of gin plus juice of two oranges and two lemons. . . cover fish with this cure leave it in the fridge turn every day for 3 days then wash off the cure mixture. . . slice fish thinly, the slices are good for salad or sandwich. . . its not raw its cured. . . just freeze the ones you cant use. . .

brush lightly on both sides with olive oil; sprinkle with some dried dillweed (oops! You probably don't have that:) oregano?) and garlic salt ..... grill on the BBQ about 5-8 min on each side.....

rub some olive oil on both sides, fry in extra virgin olive oil, add some chopped parsley or basil, if you like, coat with bread crumbs. goes great with tartar sauce.(can be eaten with burger buns)
