Swelling and IV?
I had a c-section on Friday and had a beautiful baby boy. My only problem right now is that they gave me a TON of fluids through an IV and now I am swollen beyond belief. My feet are bricks. My question: Are diuretics safe to take to clear the swelling? I can't wear shoes or any of my clothes right now!

Swelling of the extremities, especially the ankles and feet, is extremely common after delivery. It should clear up on its own. I would advise against diuretics, especially if you are breastfeeding. Please consult your OB/GYN as to what is safe.
