What color should I dye my hair?

I have light brown hair, it gets blonder during the summer. Which color should I dye it? I was thinking a dark blonde but should I just stick with light brown? Also which brand would you suggest? Thanks for the answers, in advance!

Your skintone and coloring makes a big difference in what colors will look good on you. Cool skintones look best in cooler hair colors (usually with "ash" in the name, like ash blonde, etc.). Warm skintones look best in hair colors with golden tones, such as honey blonde or golden brown.

However, sometimes you can purposefully choose a different undertone to change your appearance. Many people with cool undertones like dying their hair a warmer color since it adds some warmth to their complexion.

But you can also make some big mistakes when choosing a different undertone! If not done correctly you can end up with orange hair (if you choose a color that's too warm for you), or greenish hair (if you choose a color that's too cool).

Here are a few resources on choosing a hair color, a quick Google search will reveal more info:

PS: I personally prefer it when people embrace their natural hair color :) Your hair sounds like it would be gorgeous in the summer, it probably gets lovely natural blonde highlights! Plus, hair dyes can be very damaging to your hair! But if you must dye your hair, at least try your best to find a color that compliments your skintone so it will look more natural -- unless you want your hair to be an unnatural color (some people do)! You might also consider dying your hair with henna, which is much healthier for your hair! Read the FAQ page at http://www.hennaforhair.com/ for more info. Just be aware that performing chemical processes (perms, traditional dyes, etc.) on hair with henna can make your hair turn nasty colors or even fall out! So don't mix the two :)

    Good luck!

What i would do dye the hair a blonde and have honey blonde highlights and some brown high lights as well, plus i think it will look nice. go to the salon and get this done, if not go to a cvs or hair store and they have the kits for dyeing hair

I always go lighter in the summer and darker in the winter. So I would recommend going lighter. && I don't suggest any brand of a take home product. They are horrible for your hair and you may not get the color you want and have to go to the salon anyway so why not just go there and have it done professionally? I have seen some color damage in my day and it is not pretty.. So I would do you hair a favor and go to the salon... Hope this helped =D

I think that you should keep your light brown hair ecspecially for the summer. Maybe you could just do dark blonde highlights or light blonde depending on whether you want your hair to be a soft or hard color. Hope I helped!!!! Good luck!!!!

If i were u i would leave me hair like it is. My hair can't change color. If i were u i wouldn't change it and i would love it all the way! it would be great 2 have hair that changed! BUT DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS BEST! You ncan always change it if you don't like it! Just wait a lil bit before you change it like a month or two. Good Luck.
