What is the "gay agenda"?

I love the term 'gay agenda' and also 'transgender agenda' because, as a gay man, NOT EVEN I know what the gay agenda is!
Did I miss the agenda meeting??
I read an article on CNN.com about kids who went to school dressed as the opposite gender for dress-up day (it was the kids' idea) and some christian radio show slammed the school for having a 'transgender agenda'
Well! It must be the kids who have the agenda, because they came up with the idea, and dressed themselves up!
Maybe we should ask those poor kids what the gay and transgender agendas are!
But seriously...
I think the 'gay agenda' refers to people feeling that gays are trying to make themselves more accepted and visible in society. I'm sure it also refers to some people thinking that gays are out there trying to convert their children into depraved homosexuals.
But the real gay agenda is to get Basic rights. Equal rights. Human rights. Nothing more, and hopefully, nothing less.

Here it is. I got it from a real, live gay guy.
6 a.m. - treadmill in basement for 30 minutes
7 a.m. - eat breakfast (bowl of cereal, orange juice)
8 a.m.-5 p.m. - work
5:30 - hair appointment (well, he is gay, you know)
6 p.m. - dinner with Albert at Mom's
11 p.m. - home, watch Jon Stewart
But I wanted to know the LARGER Gay Agenda. So I asked Ted. And Ted, being just so generously Ted-like, pulled the official Gay Agenda out of his back pocket and showed it to me. It was written on Homosexuals "R" Us letterhead with a decorative rainbow across the top. Here's what it said:
Be left alone and not get the crap beaten out of us.
Do normal things, like get married and raise kids.
Hold down a good job and have health insurance for the whole family.
Grow old together and develop a bit of a paunch or big butt from a few too many marvelous dinners.
Stop having whom we share our bed with be of any interest whatsoever to anyone.

There is no "gay agenda" as stated by radical conservatives.
The only agenda I have is posted on my refrigerator:
1. Get a birthday card for Aunt Sandy
2. Take cake plate back to Grandma's house
3. Call Mom
4. Finish AP Biology essay
5. Email term paper to professor
My, what a sinister agenda I have...

Nekhbet's Gay agenda:
4 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups shredded coconut
2 cups mini chocolate chips
No wait that's Nekhbet's favorite dessert; sorry, there is no gay agenda. However would you like the recipe for my favorite dessert?

Actually; there is NO "Gay Agenda" .... so to speak ; except to have the same rights as the str-8 folks do ........

I'm just guessing, but I would imagine that it consists of:
Living where they want
Loving whom they want
Having the same tax benefits as straights
becoming mainstream without denying who they are
Being able to avoid being beaten practically to death and then left to die, bound to a fence would probably be a nice add-on too.
I cannot control whom I'm attracted to;
you can't control whom you're attracted too;
neither can gays control whom they're attracted to.
Give 'em some respect and leave 'em alone.

It's a fabricated idea the right wing has. They imagine we are all intimately linked - like the BORG on Star Trek and that we have a plan to assimilate straight people, children and make everyone bow to our will.
I'm completely serious. Like we all have each other's email, meet regularly and plan unrisings! Ha!

In my view, it's the political struggle against the discrimination that gay people encounter every day of their lives.

I have no idea what it is. It seems that the only ones who know about this are the ultra conservative right wingers. I keep asking them for a copy of it so that I can be "in the know," but so far, none of them have provided me with a copy of it.
