Obama!!! Are we Americans really that biased??? Read details before answering. No hate comments pls. Be civil?

Pls, help me understand why most of us Americans hold Obama accountable for what his stupid pastor said. My best friend is Racist, but I'm not. I guess I am trying to understand why a man (obama) is resented for having a screwed up pastor? No one remembers that this same pastor came to the white house to see the Clintons Yes he sat in the pews for 20yrs 960 Sundays... But does that mean his pastor preached hate messages for all those 960 days? Does that mean Obama attended each and every one of those services to hear all the sermons for those 960 days? Or could it be that we just don't like this man??????

It seems like most voters are just voting for sentimental reasons and not the issues in hand. All my life I've been raised to believe that race, gender and religion does not matter. However, from what I see now in this presidential election, Race (color), religion and gender matters a lot. My entire crew and even my best friend refused to vote for Obama simply because he is black. Wow!!

How come no one seems to mention McCains Pastor Hagge. Who’s comments are equally as damaging. Believe it or not, I am an Independent, but I can’t help but notice that Obama is being treated unfairly.

Haha, welcome to America brother...I thought my parents country(Germany Aarchen) was racist...However, This is the most biased country in the world, and we have a way of denying the truth. Hillary should not have won Ohio and Pennsylvania cause of her initial stance on Nafta... However, people went out and voted for her lying ***. Why do u think that happened??? Simply because she is white. The polls even show that most white said they will not vote for a black person. I work on an oil rig and I can tell you now, all the rig hands that are from deep down south have sworn not to vote for a N.......a. Makes u think why we are still like this in the yr 2008. The only reason why I am considering Obama is simply because I think he can unite us...

I don't understand how people don't get the point here. We are electing a man who must represent the best interest of the entire country. Before it became inconvenient for Obama to have Wright as a friend and mentor, he made multiple statements about how important Wright was in his personal growth. That Wright is a hate-filled radical is VERY important, because it gives us insights into the mind of Obama. How can a man of PRINCIPLE sit in the pews of a church for 20 YEARS and hear what came out of Wright's mouth??? I would have walked out of the church after the very first sermon!!

As to Hagee... He is NOT McCain's pastor. He is a pastor who endorsed McCain. He has had NO philosophical influence on McCain. That is why there is a difference.

First, do you go to church? and what do you think about your pastor?

Second, If you did not agree with your Pastor on issues would you stay in the pews for 20 years?

Third, Rev. Wright was more than Sen. Obama's pastor, he characterized him as his Spiritual Advisor and "Uncle"

Fourth, Sen. McCain did not attend Pastor Hagee's church for 20 years, Pastor Hagee did what every religious leader does in an election, support the candidate that best represents his church's values. And, tell me what comments of his are "damaging"?

Reverend Wright preaches Black Liberation Theology at Trinity United Church and has confirmed this in all his interviews.

Barack Obama has attended this church for 20 years. When he was unable to attend, Obama told Anderson Cooper that he got tapes of Rev Wright's sermons to listen to.

Wright and Obama believe in Black Liberation Theology. This is a racist religion that claims black people are oppressed by white people. It also calls for black people to rise up and destroy the "white enemy".

It also preaches against the separation of church and state, and Black Liberation Theology itself is a mixture of politics and religion.

Mainstream black christian ministers say that Black Liberation Theology is a racist anti-white religion.

All of the racist comments Reverend Wright made come from Black Liberation Theology, Obama's chosen religion.

The negative press that Obama's church is getting seems to be a little unfair. Since John Kerry is a Catholic, why wasn't he crucified in the mainstream media in 2004 for supporting a church that has a rather large problem with pedophile priests abusing children? I would consider this to be a much bigger problem than a grumpy old black preacher with a grudge against white America for racial discrimination that happened decades ago.

The Pastorgate isn't a real issue; just a terrible excuse for racist to promote their bigotry. These very same people wouldn't vote for Obama; and now grandstand. America is at a crossroads; politically, socially, and economically. We either move forward or retard in our stew.

when confronted with the views of Pastor Wright, Obama SUPPORTED him. It wasn't until Wright turned the tables and attacked Obama that he chose to denounce those views.

Because Obama isn't being truthful, his wife let it slip out of the bag...
