Sound Driver Missing on AMD Sempron SiS 741...?

I recently reformatted my PC, unfortunately now my sound driver is missing. Went to ADM.com to find a compatible sound driver, but after downloading the drivers, it will not run because I don't have the correct applications... QUESTION: how or what application am I suppose to have in order to install the driver... OR, if anyone can offer a specific link to the correct sound driver I may need (with special instructions if any) that would be best since the AMD website was kind of confusing so I'm not even sure if I got the correct driver.

PC: AMD Sempron 2200+

Model: SiS-741

I have been without sound on my PC for over 5 months trying to resolve this, but haven't since. PLEASE can someone help me! THANKS!!!

Your problem is that you are looking up the PROCESSOR model number and not the COMPUTER model number.

AMD Sempron 2200+ is merely the central processing unit. A small 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" chip that handles the main processing functions.

It has NOTHING to do with the sound, video or other such drivers.

Find out what BRAND computer you have, then read on the back to find out what the MODEL number is, then you will be able to find the drivers on the BRANDS website.

meet this program on your computer and find the brand of mainboard and download the driver audio on the mainboard original site.if you have a sound card dedicated on computer you must download the driver.you have to know the soundcard brand.look on the bios if ON BOARD AUDIO IS (ON) http://www.lavalys.com/
