When I say "I run with scissors"?

What does this mean? Where did that saying come from? Is it Medieval, Baroque, etc.?

Update:

I see. Thanks a lot. I thought it means that the person is warning others that he's crazy and potentially dangerous. Now I know.

Running with Scissors is the name of a (2006) movie.

The term means that you are at risk even when living your everyday life and without being venturesome.

I don't know. I never heard this one before. If I had to guess, I would think that the speaker means that he's a risk taker, and likes to live life "on the edge".
