4 months pregnant and job opening?
I am currently not working. We recently moved and I couldn't find anything so I've just been fixing up the house and being a housewife.
I am 4 months pregnant-16 weeks. There is a job in the paper that I think I would be perfect for. Do you think I should even apply? I would only be there for 5 months until I'm gone for 6 weeks.
Please give me your opinions.

there's no harm in applying and they arent allowed to turn you away just because you are pregnant. I started a job Aug 20 2006 and go pregnant sometime in september. I found out I was pregnant Oct 6 2006. I had a very harsh pregnancy. I threw up everyday until 32 weeks. I left the job in Feb 07 because it was to hard working and throwing up all the time and being exhausted and my boss (i was his secretary) told me I could come back anytime, that my job will always be open for me even though someone took my place. I havent been back since, I am enjoying motherhood to much. Not all bosses will be like that but needless to say I would still apply.

There is no harm in applying for a job that you think you'd be perfect for, pregnant or not. The thing you will want to keep in mind, is will you go back to work after the baby. Investing time in training a person for 5 months, that isn't coming back is frustrating.....VERY.
Plus, the cost of gas and daycare might wash out any salary or paycheck that you will be making. You should look into the cost of daycare in your area and daycare options. At least be thinking about these things.

Hunny u never no unless you try! And the worse they can do is say no thank you!! GO for it!!!! Especially if you are perfect for the job! If they are good employers they wont mind the pregnancy! Thats good way at seeing how you will be treated there! I was in the same position as you and even got a promotion since!! I am no a manager and go on maternity leave in a month!! Arggg
Good luck xxxx

If your the right person, then 6 weeks will be nothing for them, Try the worst they can say is no, but you may get it and at very least you will get more interview experience.Good Luck

Apply for the job but be honest and dont try and hide the fact that your pregnant.

If you decide to apply, it would be best to be honest about your pregnancy. You don't legally HAVE to, but you would not be earning any trust if you don't tell them up front.
Just don't be surprised if they're not quick to hire a pregnant woman.
