Do You Think Rand Paul, Ron Paul's Son, Would Be A Good Vice Presidential Running Mate For Ron Paul?

Doctor Rand Paul has given many political speeches for Ron Paul when Ron was in other parts of the country campaigning.

Personally I think it would be an excellent choice since Rand has listened to his dad Ron talk about politics his whole life.

Didn't Mr. Bush Jr. get elected partly because of his last name?

Bush has a lot more ties into the leaders of this country. Of course Dubya's in office because of daddy; same goes for his brother in FL. I think Ron Paul is great but I don't know much about his son. His son may share the same views but may not have the political experience needed to be vice president. Hopefully in the coming years we learn more about him. Who knows - maybe he'll carry on the revolution after Ron Paul.

Ugh. Ron Paul wants to abolish Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Welfare, public education, the post office, public parks, public streets 7 HIGHWAYS, the EPA, OSHA, USDA, FDA, etc. He wants the government to ONLY do the military. He wants all else privatized, so it would all cost you more, and deregulation of all industries.. He is against government regulation of any kind. Paul has said more than once he believes the Civil Rights Act is unconstitutional. The USA would quickly become a third world country if he had his way. From transcript of Ron Paul with Mike Wallace of Fox News: “You talk a lot about the Constitution,” Fox News’ Chris Wallace noted Sunday. “You say Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid are all unconstitutional.” “Technically they are,” Paul insisted. “There is no authority. Article 1, Section 8 doesn’t say I can set up an insurance program for people. What part of the Constitution — liberals are the ones that use this general welfare clause.” “The Constitution and the court said slavery was legal, too. We had to reverse that. So, I tell you. Just because a court in ’37 went very liberal on us and expanded the role of government, no, I think the original intent is not a bad idea,” Paul opined. ##

IMHO, any dynastic tilt only strengthens the emotions that lead us FROM democracy.

We need to remind ourselves daily that the very notion of a Government by the People is as revolutionary today as when the Declaration of Independence was written.

    How so?

Because, despite changes in technology, education levels, population numbers, medicine, etc, the greatest threat to democracy will never die: Power begets power.

Therefore, "The Price of Liberty is Eternal Vigilance"; keyword, there? "Eternal".

I doubt this will happen, Ron Paul will never be President, if he wants to be, where is he.

I think he'd be great, but I bet it doesn't happen. It gives too easy a shot to the opposition that he is trying to set up a dynasty. I heard a video of his speaking in Montana, though, and he has the same easy, conversational grasp of the issues that his father has.

Well, yeah, Bush probably did. But I wonder.....do you suppose that's legal? I wonder if there is any kind of constitutional or legislative or judicial statement or ruling about that? Father and son president and vice president.....

Wow, what a question. Just the logistics of it are intriguing. Here's your star.
