Something's wrong with my Maytag Washing machine, HELP!!?
My machine is making a "click" "click" "click" sound when I run it, and the basket doesn't turn, I thought it was because my load was too heavy, but I took the load out and it still made that noise, anyone have any idea why?

The transmission is starting to fail, call a repairman and get an estimate to decide if it's worth saving. Despite the ads, Maytags have more problems than some of the other brands.

If you want to further diagnose the problem (it probably is the belt, but if it turns out to not be that) go to www.repairclinic.com and click on Repair Help at the top of the page.

There is a belt connected to the motor on the bottom. The motor turns the belt, the belt turns the drum. The heavy load probably broke the belt. Flip it on its side and check the belt. Can get a new belt many places and its not that hard to do.

Your best bet is to have it diagnosed before you go out and buy the belt, etc... You could end up nickeling & diming yourself to the price of a new washer.
