it came from a website from the government please note the '. gov' in it .
About 75,000 foreign workers participated in the H-2A visa program last year. Meanwhile, 600,000 to 800,000 undocumented laborers worked on U.S. farms illegally, the Labor Department estimates.
main question :
what to do with those who feed America ?
US Department of Labor ( WORK , Work , work ) to be more specific .
what to eat peps !!!???
The growing season is barely starting in the Central Valley. Demand for farm workers will peak in the summer, at around 450,000. But many growers are concerned that tight border controls will continue to cut deeply into their labor force and that, as happened last year, crops will be left to rot in the fields.
Still, as farm workers once lured into construction are returned to the fields, there are signs that the labor supply on some California farms is increasing.
i got this from a link in the first answer , thanks , still what to do !?
note : i am concern about those who feed ALL of America not just a family , thanks .

Good question! I'll have to agree with Border Patrol on this since they have first hand knowledge of the situation.
They want a comprehensive immigration reform for the 85% that have come to work.

Since we have a lot of homeless people who might be willing to work if they were more employable, just why not set a a federal program to employ those homeless people or the welfare to work people as a first step towards economic self-sufficiency. I'm sure there's even a lot of slow or very mildly retarded folks whom would be willing to do the work as well.

Open up the borders, persecution of undocumented workers has negative consequences for the US economy, besides being inhuman,It's just a ploy to get votes for Republicans on the basis of bigotry and nativism

Deport the illegals. There needs to be a system that tracks people who come into the country legally to work on farms. They way it is now, farmers use illegal labor until the illegals realize they can work in contruction and make $15 an hour instead of $7.
The price of labor in picking crops is less then 10% of the final cost. Laborers could be paid more per hour, but the final price would barely change.

What to do with those who feed America. Well I feed my family, picking crops is a job. The only people those picking crops are feeding are themselves and their family, not mine. It would get done one way or another.
I'm a mechanic and i don't think I keep every car running on the road LOL.

Deport the illegals and keep the legals. (This isn't brain surgery.) That graph, by the way, was from 1997. Jared, you are funny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnYGwVIiC9w&feature...

Help them with amnesty. The American teens are not going to do those jobs, that is a fact and until this nation sink deep those arrogant and spoiled people of this nation will open their eyes.
SOME of them, not all of course.
