Should I get my friend a graduation present?
I have a few friends who are graduating this year. One of them is an exchange student from Germany and she's having a party. Am I supposed to get her a present? Should I get one for all my graduating friends then? My brother is graduating too, so should I get him a present?
…I would feel bad going to the party without a gift, but if I get her one, then I would feel bad for not getting everyone else one...what is the proper etiquette here?
I'm a year younger than them by the way...

Buy really nice cards for them and write a letter for each of them expressing how you feel about your friendships with each individual, include memories of times together while in school together.

if they have a party u need a gift. u can get something thoughtful that does not cost alot, find a picture you have with this peron and put in a frame, especially if they are moving after graduation. bring for her party the gift, you dont have to make a production of hey i got her a present, so other people you know who are graduating would even think hey wheres mine? you could get cards for graduates u know at the girls party congradulating them, its the thought yes? i would get my brother a card or picture momento. sibling dont count! i know in college when money was tight we never got each other gifts and 2 this day really dont too much for birthdays etc. brothers and sisters are the people u can really say, this is silly iget u a $25 gift card u get me a $25 gift card. it cancels out!

You don't need to buy them a present, you could always suggest going out for dinner to celebrate or doing something fun, that's always a nice way to congratulate them plus you can all enjoy each others company for a while. A gift will probably be in a box or collecting dust a little while down the road. Do something different, make a memorie.

Get a few inexpensive small photo albums. Go through your pictures and pick out ones of you and your friends over the years and make copies, put them in the albums and give them as gifts!

That appears like an rather sturdy sentimental present. yet another marvelous modern-day could be to get one in all those digital photograph frames and take a look into to function them with as many photos as you may without her understanding. Sorry, I have no answer to your e book question.

if you are going to the parties, please show up with presents. do you think it would be proper etiquette to show up at these parties, eat, drink, and have fun.....without a present? that would be mooching. how would you like it if everyone showed up at your party empty handed? what if these people ate and drank and just mooched?

No. They should get you a gift when they get their first salary.
