What marketing works for an in-home massage business?

My husband just finished massage school and got his license, and is truly one of the best massage therapists I have ever been touched by. He really wants to do out-call (in-home massages. What is the best marketing tool we can use?

While some people do have success using craigslist it can also introduce you to a lot of weirdos. Just make sure that you figure out a way to filter out people asking for happy endings.

I would suggest making a referral program. Whenever an existing client recommends X people, they get a free massage.

Craig's List gets used for this sometimes....and I have seen ads in some of the smaller community-type newspapers. You see people posting business cards at places like neighborhood bulletin boards, athletic clubs, etc. If you have the money, maybe you could mail some postcards in your zipcode... there are companies that will set that up for you.

I was also going to suggest Craigslist. It's free and I have lots of friends who are addicted to it! I advertise my mother's group through it and I get a LOT of people from the ad.

You could also try advertising in coffee shops, if they'll let you.

    Good luck!
