Does anybody else hate it when people go see comic book movies but never read or care about comic books?

Actually, I like it and encourage it.

If enough "non comic book fans" see a movie, it will generate enough money and interest for the studios to produce even MORe such movies.

Consequently, if ONLY comic book fans saw comic book movies, these movies would never get made! There are not of us "comic book nerds" to generate enough revenue at the box office.

So secretly be glad these people are helping to support our interest!

Yeah. When Spiderman 3 came out we ended up with a million "Venom vs _____" threads, many of which involved characters that were well outside of Venom's class. It was plainly clear that the individuals asking the questions had never read a Venom related comic in their life.

If they really want to know more about a character, then the comic books are the place to start. Even public libraries have TPB collections available to check out, and PDF collections are dirt-cheap ($11 for 100 books).

I know what Marvel and DC comics are. I just don't care to read them because frankly I could care less. Actually, Superman and Batman have to be the two comic book heroes I hate the most! But I liked the new Batman movie. I can't say much about the Superman one though because I thought it sucked. But I can understand where you're coming from. It would probably bother me too.

It's their loss anyway............if the creators of a novel or comic based movie will just show the good parts such as fighting scenes and some details, and skip information found in the book, the people who did not really read the comic or novel will not understand some parts of the movie completely.............and ask annoying questions.......my friend's like that.........and besides we KNOW the full story..........
