When someone dies, who or what gives you the most comfort?

Maybe you don't know anyone who personally died but you might know someone who had someone close to them die. How did you handle it or how did they handle it? What did you use to comfort yourself or them?

I have found much comfort in the Bible. The Bible has many accounts where Jesus raised the dead. John 11:1-44, Mark 5:21-24,35-43. Now think about this. Since Jesus could bring Lazarus and that young girl back to life, can he do the same for others? Jesus himself said: " The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear my voice and come out" John 5:28,29. Another example is at Luke 7:11-17 when Jesus raised the widows' son from the dead. Imagine how the woman must have felt? Doesn't this show that Jesus truly loves people and wants to help them. Other scriptures from the Bible that offer a wonderful hope for our dead loved ones are: Isaiah 25:8, Acts 24:15 and 1 Corinthians 15:20-22.

It just takes time before life returns to normal. Life does go on but we can always have our memories of loved ones

When my Dad died I asked the Lord to give me peace to get through it and he did. He's my all.

I didn't seek comfort per se... I just kept living my life.

Its a sad time... but inevitable. We will all die one day.
