Can you build a mosaic on a large vertical surface, e.g. a garage wall?

Do you use ceramic tile pieces, bottle glass, or crockery pieces? What matrix material works for large outdoor vertical surfaces?

Good links would be helpful.

Google mosaic and you'll get sites to look at. Also Ebay has many sellers and buyers and they usually have great examples-one I like is username :pumpkinmoonshine

Loctite is GREAT to use to glue them up-much better than liquid nails etc. I've used it on broken ceramic pieces, glass tiles and much more on my sculptures. The construction adhesive-find it in Lowes, Home Depot etc. Then use sanded grout as your spaces may be close but all different. Be sure to use grout sealer when done. I did great getting dishes from the local goodwill or salvation army store-its great therapy to break them anyway! Have fun! Look online-I know you will find many photos for inspiration!
