Dawkins is a lot better at stopping the run and being physical, but in terms of pass defense Ed Reed is by far, much better. look at the stats.

Sorry to say.. but Dawkins won't even be considered in the top 10 best safeties to play the game. My guess is that you are an Eagles fan.. because no logical person would make this arguement.. at least not anyone that has watched football for more then 10 years.

You've gotta be kidding! No doubt Dawkins is good, but to say that he's the best ever thats going a lil overboard. Ever heard of Steve Atwater, and Ronnie Lott. Lott is the best safety of all time hands down. The guy lost half of his finger in a game, and stayed on the field and finished the game. He's got my vote!

im not an Eagles fan but Im sad he left Philly, the Eagles did alot for him and the city of Philly loved him. He has a greater chance of winning the SB in Philly than in Denver. Hes getting old anyway next year will be his 14th year, he might have left because he was only getting a 1 yr deal instead of 2 yr deal that he got from Denver. Hopefully the Eagles draft a good safety and can still win the Super Bowl He was the heart and soul of the Eagles and I think they shouldve gave him 2 yrs because of how hard he plays. Its definately sad to see him leave Philly
