No.
Most people are voting for the candidate who most closely agrees with their political opinions.
IMO - anybody who is assuming that people are not voting for Obama because of his skin color - only needs to look into a mirror if they want to see a racist.

Wait! Blacks DO go to Harvard and Yale.
Don't be so upset by what you read in here. Most of the people saying ignorant things are pretty young, and not educated in life just yet. They recite what the actors on Fox News tell them.
Be enpowered that they fear you sooooo much they put things out there to tear you down. Laugh at it, and continue to be better than they are.(NOT by turning the other cheek, or ignoring them, they need those verbal slaps often--and it does relief the stresses of dealing with dumb people in your real life)
Unfortuneately, it has become about race. I have lost all respect for Bill and hillary for taking it there. However, smart people know better. What you have to do is not let another idiot in office who validates those racist beliefs for scared people.

Racism is wrong, no matter what color skin you have.
Some of the things I have read on hear embarrass me and make me feel ashamed. We are not just white people, and not just black people, we are Americans.
I don't support Mr. Obama but it isn't because of the color of his skin, it's because I don't agree with him on a lot of issues.
Unfortunately, I think Rev. Wright brought racism out in the open more than what it already was.
Why can't everyone agree to disagree about their candidates, and not get personal?

The people on Yahoo Answers are not representative of the rest of the population. There are a lot of raving lunatics that use this forum as an outlet for their hostility toward the world.
Obama won in states that are predominantly white, like Iowa and Wisconsin.
The vast majority of americans don't consider this to be an election about race. This is an election about getting a president with intelligence, vision, diplomacy, and respect for all segments of society. That person is Barrack Obama!!!!

First off he is NOT black, he is interracial. And I do think his skin color makes a difference to all the blacks. Look at all the blacks that are biting the bit to vote this election that didn't leave their houses for the ones in the past. So, yes, him being half black has something to do with all the commotion. I know many more whites voting for him then I know of blacks voting for Clinton or McCain so it goes both ways.

I agree. This election is being taken the wrong way. It is no longer about the issues, it has become about race and sex. I am a democrat and I'm supporting Obama, but I can't stand how people are insisting that Obama be voted for because he is black or that H. Clinton should be voted for because she is a woman. People are ignoring what the nominees say, they are just going by looks. This election has been taken the wrong way. It is now a stand for black americans or a stand for females, it is not an election for the best president, as it should be.
