to add, there's the unique styles of both robert rodriguez and quentin tarentino who both bring a different product to the table, and have great success with it.

and last, for diologue driven movies i'm a kevin smith fan.

what's incorrect with Steven Spielberg and James Cameron? they have created some masterpieces. Spielberg has Schindler's record and Cameron has Terminator 2. they are not my quantity one frequent, yet the two are in my favourites. I agree with you I think he is a genius when it comes to film making but everyone has there own style so I its really hard to compare one director to another

Quentin Tarantino. Man, his style is so unique, he doesn't need the help of special effects just to astound his audiences. His camerawork is at its best.

Speilberg-no, Twister and those dinosaur movies sucked.
