A quite beach vacation...?

I need help finding my ideal holiday spot. I would like to take a vacation somewhere where I can rent a cottage or small house pretty inexpensively that has a beach view, but is in a quiet area. Preferably on the east coast of the US. The cottage or small house needs to have a kitchen so I can cook, but have a town with restaurant options near by. So, please help me...where is my ideal beach vacation?

its a secret I cant tell you on Yahoo answers we don't want every one to know about. Its not worth the 10 points for me to tell you about this location. If i told you about it all the Vacationers would come there and hurt this very Quiet place. so if you really wanna know where is the best beach for the Quiet and it is a short drive to a hopping city email me and i will give you the name of the Beach. best of luck!

I live in North Carolina and we have some nice beaches. Some are quiet and there's not a lot to do there and then some are pretty busy. I would look up the Outer Banks of NC, Emerald Isle (great quiet place). Wilmington is nice but rather busy. Good luck!

We have used www.vrbo.com to book vacation homes in the past. Good luck!

I'd like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to understand why people don't stay home.

Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.
