Has dark wood gone out of fashion?

Everywhere you go now it seems to be pine, oak and other light wood for house furnishing.

    Yeah, it was a 90's thing. All that grunge and depression.

    i don't see many houses with dark wood here anymore. I have all pine.

    I for one prefer dark wood, but each to their own

    Mahogany has because of deforestation. Pine sets my sinuses off

    yes as light wood has a brighter texture to it and gives a more emotional effect to our attitudes

    no way, dark wood is always in, no matter how many changes happen in design.
