I have a friend who is an RN and she is thinking about taking a traveling job at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. She has grown up in a nice middle class suburb. Is she in for culture shock? Is it a nice/ok area? She is going to have housing in Manhattan and will travel to Bronx for work.

Culture shock is putting it politely. Traveling from Manhattan to The Bronx via subway is not easy. It is okay if she works 9 am to 5 pm otherwise it is unsafe for a woman traveling alone.
