Paypal phishing email?

Has anyone else received this one?

The "click here" link is a japanese IP address and has nothing to do with Paypal.

    Every few months...

    And others for Ebay too.

Don't forget mails for accounts that I don't even own....

I received another version of this one. By the way, it had a copy of the PayPal logo at the top, so was believable. However, my security software flashed me a warning.

The one I received was alarming as it said there had been what an attempt at fraudulent activity concerning a card attached to my account.

I closed out, logged onto PayPal, checked my account, and reported it.

Probably no more than for the rest of us. Spam is sent to email addresses made of every combination of charters possible, so it was probably only a matter of time until you received some on that account. If you want to be triply sure, change the account's password, but I think you'll be ok.

Yes Ive had this one and a similar one claiming to be ebay! I obviously block this email and send copies to Paypal and Ebay, then delete it, unfortunatley, the world has a lot of crooked people in it!

It's a fraud account and you need to report it to get it closed down. And run you scan over the PC

this happened to me and even if you just enter one thing, you are snagged. I did find a cookie malware after scanning so removed that and have changed all of my passwords. my friends are getting bogus emails via my yahoo act. though.

I would also suggest forwarding it to spoof@paypal.com so they can get the site closed down.
