liscense question from nevada?

ok i have a drivers liscense in vermont. I just moves to nevada. i have to retake my drivers exam because ive had more than 4 tickets in last 5 yrs. If i fail this exam will they take my vermont liscense from me? will i still be able to drive in nevada?

    Most states have a statute that requires new permanent residents to the state to exchange their previous license for a license issued by them.

    You have been driving for 5 years (at least) ... you should know enough to pass the written test without a doubt. Is the possibility of a road test the problem?

    You will have to go through the procedure some time ... no time like the present! If you are really worried, check your local yellow pages for lawyers that specialize in vehicle and traffic law, find one that offers free consultation ... and ask them about the worst case scenario!
